…Jamie. mom of two and wife to an extremely patient human.  I have lived in Williamsburg, Virginia the majority of my life and it will take a small army to get me to move from this beautiful part of the world.

My passion for photography developed in my high school dark room (no pun intended - okay, maybe a little pun intended.)  But then life happened – and by life I mean college (go Dukes!), marriage, a job, a kid, another job, another kid - and it was over a decade before I returned back to my photography roots.  

The thing I love about photography is being able to connect with people in a way in which most never get the opportunity.  Whether we are in a field for a family session or a hospital room for your Fresh 48 shoot, I am behind the scenes with you, capturing your genuine life and all the raw emotions that come with it.

Speaking of that, during our time together, I am going to let the special moments unfold as they will.  It has been my experience that the photographs that come from this approach are more meaningful and genuine.  But fear not.  I recognize that acting “natural” isn’t always second nature. So, when needed, I will help guide you to create moments that you are sure to cherish.

My goal for every single session is to produce timeless images my clients are proud to hang on their walls.  I shoot digital, but am greatly inspired by film photography and the bold, emotional, and somewhat vintage colors it yields.  I like to describe my style as classic, with color tones that closely match real life. Isn’t that the point of photography anyway?  To capture real life? You want to look back and remember your daughter’s golden curls.  Or maybe your daughter will want to show her children their grandma’s auburn hair. Either way, my job is to capture these memories, not change them based on certain color trends.
